Unforgettable Experience: Gua Cina, Bajulmati Beach (South Malang)
Bismillah
This time I will tell you about my trip to the beach in South Malang after failing to go to this beach before (you can see the story here). That day, Thursday, May 16th, 2013, I and 6 of my friends rented a car and we left Malang City at 8 am. Our first destination was Gua Cina Beach, and the second was Bajul Mati Beach. Both are beach tourism areas that have not been visited by many tourists because of their remote locations.
Gua Cina Beach
After traveling for approximately 2 hours on the highway, we arrived at the intersection of the entrance road where Gua Cina Beach is located. The road conditions are rocky so it has not been paved, but it is not as bad as the road we took before, namely from the direction of Balekambang. After about 10 minutes, we finally arrived at Gua Cina Beach.
There are no words that can be said except to praise God for the beauty of His creation. Masya Allah, this beach is extraordinarily beautiful, both the coral, the water, the waves, the sand, everything is amazing! With water as blue as the sky, fairly large waves that roll beautifully, and white, fine, and clean sand. There is no trash along this beach, that is one of the advantages of a beach that has not been visited by many people.
The sweep of the waves on the coastline cannot be predicted and anticipated, we got wet several times because we were hit by the waves. My friend and I who were wet and did not bring a change of clothes could only be patient because we did not bring a change of clothes. There was also a funny incident when we were about to leave there, my friend lost his sandals. Maybe it was carried away by the waves, or taken by a dog because we saw several dogs on the beach, or it could also be taken by other visitors, Allahu a'lam.
After being satisfied at Gua Cina beach, we left there to the next beach, Bajulmati Beach. Because my clothes were not dry yet, I ended up still wet getting in and sitting in the car.
Bajulmati Beach
On the way to Bajulmati beach, it turned out that Gua Cina beach and Bajulmati beach were quite close, in less than five minutes we had arrived at Bajulmati Beach. Based on information from the car driver, Bajulmati beach is often called "Kutanya Malang Beach". We arrived at the beach, and there was a vast expanse of sand around the beach, with small gazebos with roofs of coconut leaves. Yes, it was very hot that afternoon, because no wonder the clock showed 12 noon.
We finally got out of the car and went straight to one of the gazebos while bringing our own supplies, because according to the agreement we would eat on the edge of Bajulmati beach. And this was the first time I felt the heat of the beach sand. After relaxing, chatting and joking, we ate our supplies, and you know how delicious the sensation of eating on the edge of the beach is. Accompanied by the sea breeze and the sound of the waves and the beautiful scenery in front of our eyes, making eating together even more enjoyable.
After eating, we continued our activities such as relaxing, taking photos, or playing in the water and sand of the beach. The excitement did not feel like it made us tired and hungry again because it turned out that we had drained quite a lot of energy. After feeling satisfied, we finally decided to go home, but first we went to the prayer room to pray and to the toilet to wash our bodies which were covered in beach sand.
On the way back to Malang City we passed a bridge with a unique shape called Bajulmati Bridge. There is a beautiful moss green river under the bridge, the water flow is not too fast. On the way heavy rain poured down on our car. Alhamdulillah we arrived back in Malang City at 3 pm. We calculated the total expenses on this trip, and how much each person shared. Surprisingly we only had to pay IDR 40,000 for each of the 7 of us.
That's my story about the trip to the beach in South Malang. The experience that day will be an unforgettable experience.
