Offroad Automatic Motorbike: Ngantep, Balekambang, Regent Beach (South Malang, East Java)
Bismillah
Holidays have arrived! Time to review yesterday's trip to a beach in South Malang, East Java. South Malang is included in the line of southern sea beaches. Southern sea beaches have different characteristics from northern beaches. Southern sea beaches directly border the Indian Ocean, so the waves in this sea are quite large and dangerous for humans. So it is not surprising that many beaches in the southern sea have regulations for visitors prohibiting swimming, of course to avoid visitors being carried away by the current to the open sea.
There are dozens of beaches in South Malang with different characteristics but the scenery is all equally beautiful. This time I will tell you about my experience when visiting 3 beaches at once, namely Ngantep Beach, Balekambang Beach, and Regent Beach. That day, Saturday, April 6, 2013, I and 3 friends planned to visit Balekambang Beach and Gua Cina. None of us knew the exact route to the two beaches. So armed with maps on our cellphones, we finally left Malang City for South Malang at 9 am.
The journey to South Malang was relatively smooth, but because of our negligence, when we entered a small road in South Malang, we ended up taking the wrong road. We didn't know what route the road was, but the road we were on was clearly not paved and had lots of rocks. What was even more thrilling was that we passed through a road that looked like an off-road vehicle with an automatic motorbike, yes, an automatic motorbike!
Ngantep Beach
Finally, we decided to change our destination when we saw a banner that said Ngantep Beach. Sadly, we went in that direction, and it turned out that it wasn't very entertaining, because the road was just as badly damaged. After about half an hour, we finally arrived at Ngantep Beach. This beach was still quiet, there was only 1 group of teenagers. After feeling tired from the journey, we immediately jumped off the motorbike, shouted with joy, and were grateful, how relieved we were to finally find a beach, even though it wasn't Gua Cina Beach.
Ngantep Beach looks like it hasn't been visited by many people or tourists. The waves in this sea are quite fierce, with the hot midday sun that did not discourage us from exploring the beach to find the best spot. Finally we found the towering cliffs and corals at the end of the beach, masyaAllah His creation is so beautiful. After almost an hour we were on the beach, we left there and decided not to continue to Gua Cina beach, because the road conditions were not possible. Arriving safely at Ngantep beach was already a stroke of luck because our motorbike was fine, we didn't want to take any further risks.
On our way back from there we passed a bridge where a calm river flowed underneath, very beautiful because it was clear and greenish, we then stopped for a moment to enjoy its beauty. After 30 minutes back through the offroad road, we finally came out through the smooth asphalt road, how grateful we were. We headed to Balekambang beach about 1 km from the road junction.
Balekambang Beach
When we arrived at Balekambang Beach, we were very happy, because to reach it was not with a struggle like to Ngantep beach. This beach is quite crowded with visitors, because Balekambang Beach is famous for its beauty with a small island connected by a long bridge, on the island there is a kind of temple. After going to the bathroom, we who were hungry decided to have lunch. Sitting on the edge of the beach with our respective sandals, we ate the provisions we brought. It was so fun at that time eating while enjoying the beauty of the beach. We also exchanged vegetables and side dishes, and finally our stomachs were filled again, walhamdulillah.
That afternoon it was a bit cloudy so there was no fierce sun like before at Ngantep Beach. After taking pictures for a while on the edge of the beach, we went straight to the small island with the temple. To get there we crossed a bridge that was passed by quite a lot of visitors. The view from the top of the bridge was amazing. From there you can see the beautiful stretch of Balekambang beach, and also the clear water under the bridge, the water below was only as high as an adult's waist. There were so many visitors that afternoon, some took pictures on the bridge, swam or just sat on the edge of the beach under the trees.
Regent Beach
After being satisfied at Balekambang Beach, we continued our journey by going to Regent Beach. Regent Beach is still in the same area as Balekambang Beach, and it was written on the ticket that the ticket was valid for both beaches. Finally, we went there by motorbike. Indeed, Regent Beach is not too far from Balekambang Beach, but the area is in the thick trees, and motorbike riders must be careful because they pass through beach sand.
Regent Beach is also no less beautiful with its own characteristics, namely in the middle of the sand there is a pool of water resembling a small lake. The water is clear greenish, and there are even visitors swimming in it. My mind was all over the place seeing this, I imagined what if an animal entered the pool.
Unlike the crowded Balekambang beach, Regent Beach is relatively quiet from visitors. The tiredness of the day made us sleep on our backs on the dry beach sand, so our clothes didn't get wet. After relaxing accompanied by silly jokes, taking some photos, finally without realizing it, it was already evening.
At 4 pm we finally left the Regent - Balekambang beach area. On the way home we were showered with very heavy rain, fortunately each of us brought a raincoat. Alhamdulillah the clock showed 6 pm when we arrived safely back in Malang City. I felt incredibly happy, even though my body felt quite sore because it had been approximately 5 hours of round trip riding a motorbike to South Malang with a track like offroad terrain. And even though we didn't manage to visit Gua Cina beach, we were entertained by the 3 other beaches that we had visited. Well, that seems to be all I want to tell you about my first trip to South Malang, and see you in the discussion of trips to other beaches.
